be ready for doing sth.
前者to后面加动词,
后者for后面加名词或动名词，意思是相同的
Eg:He was ready to go on the evening train.
他准备乘晚上的火车走 。

2.You may catch a cold. 你可能会患上感冒。
catch 在此句话中是及物动词;cold 在此为名词意为“伤风，感冒”，它还有形容词性，意为“冷的，寒冷的”；catch a cold为固定搭配,意为“患感冒”。例如：
Today is cold. Don’t catch a cold.
今天冷，不要患上感冒。
2)catch a cold不可与表示一段时间的状语连用,而have a cold of可以。
3)catch a cold中的a可以省略，但cold前有形容词修饰时则不能省略；have a cold中的a不能省,在口语中它等于have got a cold.
