the Smith family指“史密斯一家”。
【易错点】也可以用the Smiths来表示，即“the＋姓氏复数”表示“……一家人”，等于“the＋姓氏单数＋family”。
eg：the Green family＝the Greens 格林一家
“…… 一家人”在句中作主语时，谓语动词用复数。
eg：The Browns/The Brown family are friendly to everyone.布朗一家对每个人都友好。
